The outPHit consortium recently released "Renovating with Passive House Components", a booklet covering essential building physics basics when it comes to retrofitting and showcasing their implementation through a number of case study projects. The publication espcially targets architects and building designers interested in learning more about high-performance renovations done to the EnerPHit standard for retrofits according to Passive House principles. It provides valuable insights into the EnerPHit standard and highlights key aspects of quality deep retrofits, such as the importance of airtightness, thermal bridge minimisation, and ventilation with heat recovery. Additionally, it explores the benefits of post-renovation monitoring. Featuring a variety of architectural details from real-life EnerPHit renovations, the brochure serves as both an educational resource and a source of inspiration. These practical examples, combined with the theoretical foundation offered, give a comprehensive overview for anyone interested in retrofitting buildings of all types.

The brochure, now available in English, will soon also be released in German.
