OutPHit at the International Passive House Open Days 2024

28.6.2024 – 30.6.2024, y online

Are you enthusiastic about the Passive House concept and its advantages? Then take part in the Open Days and motivate others to join the movement by sharing your knowledge and experiences!

The International Passive House Open Days are a great opportunity to learn about Passive House and energy efficient buildings. Get in contact with current owners and learn first-hand what it is like to live in a Passive House and what the building or retrofitting process was like. Some open houses and buildings will even have professionals on hand with the knowledge and tools to explain the technical details of Passive House projects.

During the International Passive House Open Days, many outPHit projects will open their doors to the public. These events deliver a great opportunity to learn about serial retrofitting concepts and the enerPHit standard in general.

Below you will find participating buildings via outPHit as well as events - we encourage you to stop by for a visit if there is one in your area!

Join Passive House Institute expert Berthold Kaufmann on a free tour of a house originally built in 1928 that has undergone an exemplary renovation using Passive House components.

This charming home now features low energy costs while maintaining its original allure. The renovation includes thermal insulation in the basement, exterior walls, and roof, installation of triple-glazed windows, and a photovoltaic system on the roof. A future addition will include a ventilation system with heat recovery to ensure excellent indoor air quality. Replacing the traditional gas boiler, the basement now houses a heat pump with a buffer tank for hot water.

The Climate Protection Office of the City of Darmstadt will also be available on-site to answer questions and discuss current incentives for building renovations. The homeowners will share their experiences, providing a personal perspective on the transformation of their property. We look forward to your participation!
