Original situation

1970 built NONRES Building in the outskirts of Coulanges sur Yonne. EHPAD stands for medical retirement homes for elderly people.

Renovation approach

In order to speed up the renovation, prefabricated elements are being applied as often as possible. The renovated part will meet the EnerPHit Standard whereas the new build will reach the Passive House Classic level.

Modernisation proposal

“Semi prefabricated” global retrofit. The renovated part is a 2-storey building (on the left of the mansion), some facades will be renovated using prefabricated modules. A new building is added to the compound (on the right of the mansion).

Efficiency improvement

The renovated part is a retrofit with Passive House components to meet the “EnerPHit” standard. The new building is going to be a “Passive House Classic”.
