Grey energy - it is needed to produce building materials. And in the process, CO2 is produced in our current energy supply system. The production of building materials is thus harmful to the climate as long as the energy supply is not "decarbonised". On the other hand, some building materials are also capable of storing CO2, thus relieving the climate.
So is the strategy "use as little energy as possible in production and store as much carbon as possible in the building"? Or does this approach fall short?
Speaker: Benjamin Krick, Passive House Institute
This event is part of the lecture series Passive House Evenings, which is intended to provide information on current topics in the field of energy-efficient building and offer opportunities for professional exchange. The Passive House Evenings are also recognised as further training events by the Passive House Institute, dena and the Chamber of Architects and Town Planners of Hesse.
The Passive House Evenings are organised by IG Passivhaus Deutschland, Passivhaus Austria, Passivhaus Dienstleistung GmbH and the Passive House Institute.
