Original situation

A three family house of the 70’s, of 312 m2 treated floor area, with light insulated brick façade, non-thermally broken aluminium windows with double glazing, an airtightness level of n50=5 ACH, 50m balconies and a light uninsulated roof

Modernisation proposal

To improve the installation of windows by putting them on the insulation level in order to improve the solar gains. To insulate the whole envelope, which is partially insulated with 3-5cm insulation, in order to cut heating demand by factor 10 and eliminate several thermal bridges. To put ventilation systems with HR in all three apartments in order to increase thermal comfort and air quality. To reach the EnerPHit Standard by replacing old, inefficient components with Passive House certified ones.

Efficiency improvement

According to the plans, the heating demand will be reduced by a factor of 10 and cooling demand by a factor of 5.
